OK, I take everything back... There has been a bunch of snow in Georgia yesterday. I spent the weekend south of Atlanta with friends and at some point yesterday I truly thought I would not get home. It started snowing very lightly around 10:00am. But then, someone must have turned on the heavy-duty snow maker...
We went for lunch in Lagrange, GA, and I swear it snowed about 2-3 inches in a couple of hours while we were inside eating. Big chunky sticky snow flakes... I felt like being back home in Germany.
Unfortunatly, the pea-brain (I am running around with these days) forgot to bring the camera. It is always in my handbag but I forgot to put it back after I uploaded the last pictures. Dangit. And of course, that happens when I need it to take once-in-a-lifetime pictures. I could have taken some really awesome pictures in the sun on Saturday - I was actually walking around in short sleeves. And then - a day later - perfect winter wonderland pictures. So, I had to steal this one from the internet for documentation...

I took a few pictures when I got back home Sunday afternoon around 4pm from my backyard. But they were definetely not as impressive. Somehow we didn't get these masses of snow up here in North Georgia. But we had some heavy and gusty winds and the temperatures dropped into the 20s during the night.
I was worried about the black ice this morning and I waited until it was light out to check on the streets. I wasn't worried so much about the interstate, more about the roads in my subdivsion and the roads that take me to I-85. So, I got to go to work late this morning because I wanted to see about the road conditions first. Good thing my PC is set up to work from home in those situations and I was ready dealing with work emails at 6:30am.
Anyways, everything was OK when I drove to work and I am guessing that the snow we have right now is not sticking around for very long. Supposedly the weather is getting warmer again towards the weekend. Up to the 70s, believe it or not.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK! Stay warm and safe!

Lovely photo. There was a cardinal at our feeder yesterday, but every time I tried to take his picture, he flew away.

We didn't get ANY snow up here yesterday. Can you believe that? We kept waiting for it but....nothing!

I'll bet German snow is sane and orderly. Georgia snow is crazy wacky weird. Had thunder with it in Decatur.

Claudia- Did Brandy ever give you the In Style in German that I brought from Germany for you? I hope she did, but sometimes she's forgetful.
