I tried really hard to finish the Bayerische Socks today but it's getting late and I'm getting very tired. So, before I screw up the twisted stitch patterns, I'd rather be smart for once, and stop and go to bed. And Hubby just called and we talked for half an hour. I think it's funny when he wishes me a good night and for him at home it's only a little after 4:00pm.
Oh, and a funny thing happened this morning on the subway. A little boy sitting across from me with his mom (who was in her twenties, I'm guessing) watched me knitting on the sock for a while. Then he asked his mom, "Can you do that, too?" And his mom replied, "No, but your grandmother can." Go figure... Only grannies knit, right?

No worries--you are NO grandma! We'll miss you tomorrow night.

And what will the Mom say if the little boy becomes a knitter? :-)
