Well, Mom finished my last sweater so quickly that she asked me to bring her more of my stash yarn. The dutiful daughter I am, I brought two more bags with me when I got here in April and now she's working on this pretty cardigan:
The pattern is from a Filati magazine from last summer. Mom is using some of the (discontinued) Knitpicks Shine from my stash in bright pink (I think the color is called Orchid) and I am lovin' it. Thought I'd make you a little more jealous that I get yet another knitted garment from my mom...
The weather forecast for Munich is in the mid 80s (Fahrenheit) for this weekend and this screams for lying at the Isar River during the day and BBQing or a beergarden visit in the evening. Not matter what - outdoor activities for sure. I know - now you're really jealous. ;-)

She sure is a fantastic mom. I must make sure to point this out to my mom next time we talk...because comparing your own mom to your friend's mom ALWAYS lets you get your way. ;)

Boy, I haven't been by for a few days. You've really been busy! I love all the pictures. I spent a year in (West) Germany as a foreign exchange student when I was a teenager--which tells you how old I am!--and your pictures make me feel all nostalgic. It was a very special year.

Hey Claudia,
I finally got around to read all your blogs. It is sooooo beautiful. Southern Germany is so different from my "yankee world" up in Northern Germany. I am glad you enjoy your visit. I definitely miss you! Things have been crazy - as usual - and I haven't even made it to Knitch after you left. Maybe next week....
BTW, I finished the blanket for my husband and he absolutely loves it. Still have to post a finished picture though.
