#?§$%&!!!
It's April 16 - and this morning North Georgia had a freeze warning. Well, I don't mind because I get to wear my sweaters a little longer. ;-) Well, actually, with my stay in Germany for 10 weeks, I'll extend my sweater-wearing season anyway.
And speaking of sweaters, I finished the Neiman sweater last week. Of course, it's not on my Mission Possible 2008 list. Somehow it seems to be so much more fun to start and finish things that are NOT part of that list. I'm starting to wonder if I'll be a drop-out from that Ravelry group after all... We'll see. I have to make a list of stuff that I'm going to take to Germany. Hopefully, I can make myself include a bunch of those projects to get them finished, off the list and off my conscience...
So, here is Neiman:

Stats:
Needles: US 2 / 2.75 mm and US 2½ / 3.0 mm (Addi Turbo Circulars)
Yarn: Knit Picks Palette
How much? 5 skeins = 1155.0 yards (1056.1m)
Colorway: Black
How much? 1 skeins = 231.0 yards (211.2m)
Colorway: Tidepool Heather
Pattern modifications:
I started out with the size E (chest circumference 40) and instead of going back up to size E after the waist decreases, I only went up to the size D (chest circumference 38). I also didn't close up the sleeves all the way, I left the edge open to show the color work inside a little better. To get that effect, I started knitting in the round for the sleeves after I finished the edge. I also added more rows and a couple more decrease rows to the yoke because I wanted my neckline to be less open. Oh, and I made the sweater two inches longer.
And lastly, a modification by mistake... The chart for the yoke colorwork has you knit one row twice and I somehow didn't see that. So my colorwork looks a little different, but I like it.

One more day to vote on the sock names. Make sure you get your vote in before midnight tomorrow!
