Title: Klimt Kow
Artist: Erin Bakke & Diane Giusti
Klimt Kow was also exhibited at the 2006 Boston Cow Parade. She is grazing on the beginnings of the second sleeve of my Lily Chin lace dress. :-)
This cow's design is based on Gustav Klimt's paintings. Hubby says he sees elements of "The Kiss" (below left). I also like Klimt's portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (below right), which, in Spring 2006, sold for a record $135 million, the highest reported price ever paid for a piece of art sold at a public auction.

Gustav Klimt (July 14, 1862 – February 6, 1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau (Vienna Secession) movement. His major works include paintings, murals, sketches and other art objects, many of which are on display in the Vienna Secession gallery. Klimt's primary subject was the female body and his works are marked by a frank eroticism.

Your blog is really interesting. Wondering when you ever have time to do it.
