Pardon the jerkiness, but I'm not Claudia Spielberg. ;-)
At least you get to see what Ms. Jen did last Sunday. You might want to sit down and take a little valium before you hit the play button. I have to say, tho', she sure makes steeking look very non-threatening...
Leading up to this climax are part one, part two and part three - in case you want to watch all the little videos I made.

I think I'd have had a nervous breakdown watching this in person, valium or no valium. I tend to break out in hives if I have to rip several rows and get all the stitches back on the needles properly. Amazing Jen just takes those shears in hand and goes SNIP, SNIP SNIP!

So skeery, especially towards the middle of the flick, but it all comes together in the end! One of the best thrillers of the year!

Whee! That was fun. Steeking is another one of those magical things in knitting, like blocking lace. Nothing looks quite right one moment but you take a leap of faith and then there is a sun streaming from the clouds moment and suddenly after cutting you have a sweater. I kind of can't believe we don't use steeking more often in knitting because even though some people find it terrifying, it's very practical. Maybe it's because you can't go back afterwards...

She makes it look so easy, but the thought is still terrifying. I love how everyone went from chattering to silent when she began to cut her knitting.

That seriously makes me want to puke. I was screaming, "no, no, don't." (This is why you shouldn't watch YouTube at work.)
